Light rarely arrives all at once. It gathers slowly.

In this painting, translucent layers move across the surface like currents of air and water — lines drifting, colors breathing into one another. Forms appear and dissolve, allowing space for movement rather than definition.

This work continues my exploration of Inheritance of Light, a body of work inspired by the quiet influence of my mother, who surrounded me with beauty and nurtured creative freedom from an early age. What was absorbed in childhood — color, atmosphere, texture, and a way of seeing — begins to surface here through gesture and transparency.

The lines do not impose structure; they guide the eye gently through the composition. Color accumulates in soft passages, as if light itself were collecting and unfolding within the painting.

In this moment, light is no longer only inherited.

It is gathered, carried forward, and allowed to expand.
