Where Light Gathers

Light rarely appears all at once.

It gathers slowly.

In this painting, translucent layers of violet, indigo, and teal move across the surface like currents — folding into one another through soft washes of watercolor. Each layer holds a memory of the one beneath it, allowing the work to carry traces of its own unfolding.

This piece continues my exploration of Inheritance of Light, a body of work reflecting on how beauty and creative awareness are quietly passed from one generation to the next. The colors, gestures, and atmosphere that shaped my earliest experiences continue to surface through these layered movements of light.

Forms hover between suggestion and abstraction, allowing space for movement rather than definition. What emerges is not a fixed image, but an atmosphere where color, memory, and gesture meet.
